Monday: Resturant Review worksheet DUE today. Students will begin writing a paper that will be the basis for their "Resturant Review Speak-up". Speak-up on Wed.

The class will complete reading the book Hoot by Carl Hiaasen. Students will begin making 'character maps'. This will be due Friday, March 2. I plan to show the movie "Hoot" to the class next week (March 5-9). Look for the parent permission form in the Feb. 22 Friday Folder.

Lessons 91-94 will be completed in class. Students should take home their Spelling workbooks to study the word list in the back. TEST on Friday, March 2.

SCIENCE Feb. 20-22
Congratulations to these 5th graders that are representing our classes in the AOT Middle School Science Fair: Katelyn G., Matthew Z., Allison D., Alexis C-T., Devin G., Isabella B., Joe M. Their projects will be on display Friday, Feb. 17 and Monday, Feb. 20 in Coach Koehn's room.

Mon-Wed: The student will give an oral presentation of his/her project to receive a final grade. The top five (or six) 5th grade projects will be submitted for judging for the school's 5th-8th grade Science Fair.
Thur MATH ENRICHMENT ACTIVITY
Friday FUN FEST FIELD TRIP. We plan to leave campus right after pledge and attendance. STUDENTS NEED TO PACK THEIR LUNCH SINCE WE WILL BE EATING WITH THE 4th GRADERS AT THEIR CAMPUS. We plan to return to school around 1:00.

SCIENCE Feb. 6-10
SCIENCE FAIR PROJECT Students should be writing their 'Abstract' which is due Feb. 10th. Be sure to explain "why" you are getting your experiment's results (Abstract is around 200-230 words). Contact Mrs. Rhoades if you have questions. Plan to bring in the Science Fair Project DISPLAY BOARD on Monday, Feb. 13th.
We will be reviewing Chapter 3 (pages 108-137) "Forces". There will be an open-book TEST on Wednesday. Later in the week, we will have Math Enrichment - graphing activity. Time will be given, each day, for students to ask any final questions they may have about the Science Fair Project.
