SCIENCE Jan. 30 - Feb. 3

This week the students will be working in groups constructing a simple machine. All work should be done at school. The machine must be able to fit on the student desk (no larger). They will be graded on their blue-print (plan) 10 points; does the machine have two (or more) types of simple machines (lever, pulley, ramp, or others) 5 points; students in the group bring in supplies (none will be provided) 5 points; cooperation with group 10 points; TOTAL 30 points. The simple machines are due on Friday, Feb. 3.


Science Fair Project -DUE Feb. 13th
This Wednesday, I will be grading the student's Science Fair Journal Week #5. They must log their project's activity. This journal will be on display along with their final project. Students should be writing their 'Abstract' which is due Feb. 10th. Be sure to explain "why" you are getting your experiment's results. Contact Mrs. Rhoades if you have questions.

Lessons 81-84 will be completed in class. Students should take home their Spelling workbooks to study the word list in the back. TEST on Friday, Feb. 3.
